An improvised Heckerzug from anno 1848-49 accompanied us to the next place at the Tulla Strasse 15, past beautiful green trees and meadows in Zähringen to the Thomasgemeinde. Underway we made a stop to sing the famous German freedom song: Die Gedanken sind frei, meaning thereby that one's thoughts are free despite the despotism and strict authority under which the people of Zähringen and elsewhere had to suffer.
